This is the beautiful pendant I’ve been waiting forever for. I originally picked it out for my birthday that has since passed, and then hinted for it for Mother’s Day, and then tried again for my push present. All occasions I have been lucky and received amazingly thoughtful gifts that I’ve loved, but no where was this to be found! I will try again for Christmas 🙂
Like my last blogged piece, Tickled Pink, this pendant is from my favorite New York supplier. I was browsing through their catalogue and noticed the unique style of the center stone. A rarely seen, gem in the rough, a Ruby no less! Its out-of-round shape and unpolished face is the perfect juxtaposition with the diamond halo that surrounds it. It is all held together and supported by a delicate rose gold frame and a lovely, rose gold, rolo link chain.
I can imagine it as my signature piece, always around my neck, day and night. Paired with my boys diamond initial pendants (see Baby Love) and sometimes on its own. It’s a ruby in the rough and a dream in my heart. Fingers crossed!
